6 Weeks of Copper Clay - Tuesday Mornings - Starts Tuesday 5th January 2027

If you have always wanted to make jewellery with copper clay but would like to learn at your own pace.  Or prehaps, rather than making on your own at home, you fancy joining others in our studio where we have all the tools and equipment you need.  You may have already been making with silver clay and now feel ready to move across to copper clay. So, whatever it is that interests you, our 6 Weeks of Copper Clay Evening Class is just for you.

Week 1 will give you an introduction to the fundamentals of working with copper clay if you're a beginner and an introduction to the tools and equipment if you're not. 

From there, you are free to design and make your own pieces of copper clay jewellery.  You may want to make a new piece every session or make one piece that takes you all 6 sessions.  It's up to you.  No competition, no targets or challenges other that what you set yourself.

Every session during the 6 weeks we will be doing some basic demonstrations to help fuel your creativity.  These will include:

Greenware polishing
Making bails
Making molds
Detailing and burnishing

Throughout the sessions, we will be on hand to advise and assist with your makes and offer advice and suggestions if needed.  Remember, slow or fast, whatever is your thing is fine.  You will be working at your own pace.

And as the weeks progress, we will give you some instruction on how to use the equpiment in the workshop such as the bench polisher and the magnetic tumber.

And, because you will be working at your own pace, copper clay is NOT included in the workshop price.  You can simply pre order your clay when you book, buy the clay when you arrive at the studio on week 1 or, if you have plenty of your own clay then just bring that.  It's your choice.  When you book, just choose your 'with or without clay' option.

Sessions run from 10am-12.30pm starting Tuesday 5th January for 6 weeks.

Age 12+. Under 16's must be accompanied with a full paying adult and under 16's unfortunately will be unable to torch fire their own pieces.
