Bronze Clay Fundamentals - Beginner to Intermediate - 6 Hours

£55.00

All jewellery making requires a good understanding of the basic fundamentals.  And if you've been experiementing yourself at home or even watched a few online tutorials, you will have a basic idea of what base metal clay is and what you can do with it.

Our Bronze Clay Fundamentals Workshop is a beginner session with a difference  because we don't just cover what to do, we cover the why's and the why nots as well.

Over the course of 6 hours, the session is designed to strip back to the core foundations of what make award winning metal clay jewellery.  We cover subjects such as:

Cutting and shape manipulation
Staged drying
Greenware refinement and polishing
Efficient torch firing methods

This is a techniques only workshop and therefore bronze clay is not included.  You can either buy clay from us on the day, preorder it when you book or, if you have plenty of your own clay at home then bring some of that.

Pieces you make on the day can either be torch fired or kiln fired depending on what you make and whether the metal clay you bring with you is compatible with torch firing.

Ages 12 and over, under 16's must be accompanied by a full paying adult.  Under 16's will not be able to torch fire their pieces, they will be fored in the kiln.
