Introduction to Jewellery Making with Copper Clay

Come and join us for a full on but fun session where you will be introduced to making jewellery from copper metal clay.

If you've always wanted to make jewellery with silver clay but have been put off by the cost then this workshop is for you.

Over the course of 5 hours you will learn how to set up your workstation, prepare your tools and condition your copper clay ready for making.  From there you will be guided through all the key techniques of making jewllery from this amazingly versatile material.

Learn how to roll out, cut, texture, shape, dry, refine and drill your copper clay pieces as well as learn how to join your copper clay components together.  We then prepare them for firing and that's when the magic happens.  Once your jewellery has been fired, it will be ready for polishing.

All tools and equipment are provided so you don't need to bring anything with you.  You'll also get a healthy supply of copper clay so that you can easily make 2-3 pieces of jewellery, although more copper clay will be available to buy on the day if you feel you need it.

Due to the long firing times for copper clay you won't be able to take your pieces home with you but we can post them on or you can come back and pick them up if you live locally.  But, we won't be sending you away wondering how to polish your new copper jewellery so we will give you one of our special pieces in the session so that we can all practice polishing and finishing.

We have several public sessions available but why not book a private session for you and a friend or two.  There's no difference in the price.
